Late Nights

This is the second time this week I've been up late. Tuesday it was 3:30am when I finally fell asleep. Hopefully tonight it will be after this post. It has given me time to catch up on some praying. So it is not such a bad thing. Lately it seems so many folks are in turmoil. The enemy is attacking from all sides. I'm seeing marriages of many years struggling to get by. Little children battling health issues. Adult children following paths away from a loving God.
My firend Beth was here for a few days. She used a phrase that I'm now going to make as part of my daily vocabulary. She said "When the battle comes and things are tough you gotta put on your armor, you gotta be prepared, you gotta Armor Up!" Now I'm on a mission to tell all to Armor Up! Starting with myself. Watch for that blog:-}
As I pray this week for friends and family, my prayer is that we all Armor Up for this battle. It works, the enemy is stopped and God continues to reign victorious!!

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be your name
Lord Father, you are holy. You are in Heaven, all is right with the world. Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty!!! You are omnipresent. You see and care for all who are sick. You see Susan, Sherry, My mom & dad, Estonia, Iraq. You are working everywhere.

Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Heavenly Father, your Kingdom is alive and well at Swedish hospital. Your glory is being lived out for all to see. Your Kingdom across the country is active and praying for healing for Susan. All are praying for healing for Susan & her family. For physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Your Kingdom is coming together to focus on you and your mighty hand. We come together knowing that you are God and we aren’t. We rest in the knowledge that it IS Your will, not ours. Your will be done, you hold the big picture. You see the end results. And whatever your will is, it will be glorious and amazing. So be it!!

Give us today our daily bread.
We do not need to worry. My daily bread. Let me hunger and thirst for you. My soul longs for you Lord Jesus. Thank you for filling me, filling the void, giving me peace. As I look over my life, you have provided. I never lacked. When I thought I did, I looked to you and saw that I don’t lack. Your provision is abundant.

Why Firmly Planted

I've been wanting to start this for a long time. I wanted an outlet to write about what I'm learning from my reading and from Life. I have 6 grandchildren now. I skipped motherhood and went straight to Grandmotherhood. (But that is a whole other post). I'm learning so many life lessons from these 6 little people. I choose the title Firmly Planted from Psalm One."And she will be like a tree FIRMLY PLANTED by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever she does she prospers."Through life I find that this tree of mine has withstood all kinds of weather. Windy stroms, lightning, dry hot seasons, perfect lovely springs. Being Firmly Planted, in strong soil, by streams of water. My soil is my faith in Christ, the streams of water are the life giving water of the spirit that nourishes me. The leaf represents my knowledge that through it all, God is in control and wants only the best for me, when I follow His path. For me, prosperity at the end of the verse is about a life well lived, not how I do financially.
